Flash Spherical Silica Gel

Flash spherical silica gel is ideal for column chromatography, process scale LC, and batch adsorption applications.

The abundant silanol groups on the surface are readily accessible for hydrophilic interactions with more polar compounds which generally are retained longer, making them ideally suited for the purification of chemical synthesis intermediates, oils, fats and natural products (vitamins, flavors, fragrances, etc.)

Flash spherical silica gel is available in porosities of 70Å, 100Å, 300Å, and 500Å and a particle size distribution of 40-75µm.

Flash spherical silica gel utilizes Sorbtech’s Premium Rf™  Silica Gel which boasts narrow pore and particle distributions, ensuring optimal selectivity, capacity, efficiency, low operating pressure, and shorter processing time.

Premium Rf Spherical Silica Gel is manufactured to a high chemical purity standard (99.9% SiO₂). Organics and trace metals content are controlled within very stringent limits. Each production batch has undergone extensive and exhaustive quality control testing to ensure reliable lot-to-lot performance. This rigid control of chemical purity, surface area, and pore size, ensure our silica will yield reproducible separation results and allow for direct scale-up without requiring time-consuming method redevelopment.

Our flash spherical silica gel is mechanically robust and can, therefore, be repacked multiple times in either analytical or preparative scale columns.
