C4 MPLC

C4 silica gel is used for Reversed Phase chromatography for the separation of hydrophobic substances. Retention times are shorter than on C8 and C18 phases. It is less lipophilic than C18 and C8 because it has shorter alkyl chains.

For MPLC (Medium Pressure Liquid Chromatography)

C4 MPLC is available in porosities of 100Å, 300Å, and 500Å and a particle size distribution
of 20-45µm.

Quality and Diversity

C4 MPLC is manufactured on Sorbtech’s Premium Rf™ Spherical Silica Gel which boasts narrow pore and particle distributions, ensuring optimal selectivity, capacity, efficiency, low operating pressure, and shorter processing time.

Purity

Premium Rf Spherical Silica Gel is manufactured to a high chemical purity standard (99.95% SiO2). Organics and trace metals content are controlled within stringent limits. Each production batch has undergone extensive quality control testing to ensure reliable lot-to-lot performance. This rigid control of chemical purity, surface area and pore size, ensure our silica will yield reproducible separation results and allow for direct scale-up without requiring time-consuming method redevelopment.

Robust

Our spherical silicas are mechanically robust and can, therefore, be repacked multiple times in either analytical or preparative scale columns.
