SCX (SO3H) – Strong Cation Exchanger MPLC Functionalized Silica Gel
SCX bonded phases will separate a variety of sugars with the acetonitrile/water mobile phase. Alternatively, with hexane/ethyl acetate mobile phase, it will function as a “less active” normal phase.
In addition, since the surface contains primary SO3H groups, this phase can be used as a base for coupling chiral ligands.
Recommended Applications:
- As normal phase for basic compounds like alkaloids
- As reverse phase for vitamins or sugars
- Metal scavenger removal/recovery for acid chlorides, isocyanates, etc.
- Dyes, lipids, mycotoxins, pesticides
