C2 TLC Plates
Dimethyl-Modified Silica Layer
C2 TLC Plates feature a silanized silica layer with dimethyl modification and a carbon content of 4%. The plates can be used in Normal or Reversed-phase separation modes with purely organic, organic-aqueous, or fully aqueous eluents.
Base Material:
- Silica Gel 60, specific surface (BET) ~ 500 m2/g, mean pore size 60 Å
- Specific pore volume 0.75 ml/g, particle size 5-17 µm
- pH stability 2-10
Additional Features:
- Indicator — acid resistant product with a pale blue fluorescence for short-wave UV
- UV-absorbing substances are dark blue to black spots on a light blue background
- Wettable with water, can be used in Normal or Reversed Phase modes
- Order of polarity: Silica > DIOL > NH2 > CN > C2 > C18-50 > C18-W > C18-100
